Peace of Mind GuaranteeAt Entertainment Woodcraft, we take pride in our work and want you to feel confident in your investment. Below you’ll find our residential warranty, quality guidelines, and other important information.
Residential Warranty PolicyYour cabinets are covered by a
24-month warranty, beginning on the installation date. This warranty protects you if something isn’t working the way it should. If an issue comes up during that period that qualifies under this warranty, we’ll make it right quickly and fairly. Even after the warranty ends, you can still reach out — we’ll be glad to provide advice and go over your options.
What is CoveredThe warranty applies to all major components of your cabinets — including cabinet construction, doors, drawers, shelves, and all hardware such as hinges and drawer slides.
Cabinet finishes are also covered if a defect develops under normal use after the walk-through period, subject to the exclusions listed below.
What is Not CoveredWe want you to enjoy your cabinets worry-free. That said, some things are outside of our control and are not covered under warranty:
- Damage from impacts, accidents, improper use, or lack of reasonable care, as well as normal wear and tear
- Environmental damage, including but not limited to exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight, or prolonged steam/heat
- Cabinetry is not designed to withstand direct or prolonged water or steam exposure. Damage from plumbing, sinks, dishwashers, flooding, or standing water left on cabinet surfaces is not covered
- Damage from cleaning chemicals, abrasive products, or excessive wiping/scrubbing of cabinet surfaces
- Shelves or cabinets overloaded beyond normal household use
- Damage due to improper installation or assembly not performed by Entertainment Woodcraft or one of our authorized installers
- We stand behind our own measurements. If measurements are provided by another party, responsibility for accuracy rests with them
- Cabinets will be built according to appliance specifications provided at the time of order. Final confirmation of appliance fit is the responsibility of the homeowner, contractor, or designer
Entertainment Woodcraft also reserves the right to refuse service in cases where our employees are treated with abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour.
How to Make a ClaimIf you believe you have a warranty claim, send us a note with details and photos. We’ll review it against the terms of this warranty and may schedule a visit to take a closer look. If it qualifies, we’ll repair, replace, or adjust as needed — always with the goal of keeping you fully satisfied.
Important InformationA few things to keep in mind about your cabinets:
- Natural variation: Every piece of wood is unique, so you may see slight differences in grain and colour. That’s part of what makes your project one of a kind.
- Seasonal changes: Temperature and humidity may cause slight movement in wood products, which is a natural property of the material.
- Wood maturity: Wood products and finishes naturally age, which may include slight changes in colour or sheen.
- Materials: We combine solid wood with high-quality engineered materials for both beauty and durability.
- Dimensions and installation: Cabinets are built to standard heights and depths unless otherwise discussed in advance. They are installed on the flooring surface in place at the time of installation, unless specific arrangements are requested otherwise.
- Electrical: We don’t move or modify electrical components. If wiring or outlets are exposed during installation, they’ll need to be handled by the homeowner or a licensed electrician.
Quality GuidelinesOnce your cabinets are installed, a walk-through will be completed. This is the key time to note anything that needs attention or remains outstanding. If you notice anything minor within 48 hours after installation, such as adjustments or small touch-ups, we’ll take care of those as well. Your 24-month warranty then applies if a new issue arises after this completion period.
Project completion is based on the cabinet installation itself. Outstanding site conditions or work by other trades do not extend the completion period.
To ensure fairness, we follow the inspection standards set by the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada. Cabinets are checked under the following conditions:
- Timing: On the day of installation
- Lighting: Normal room lighting available at the time of inspection (no spotlights or flashlights)
- Position: From a normal standing position
- Distance: At least 48 inches away
- View: Overall appearance, without magnification or unusual angles
If a flaw is visible under these normal viewing conditions, we’ll promptly repair, replace, or adjust as needed.
